NanoBITES captures those small but important morsels of gaming information that otherwise might slip between the cracks.

ITEM! Capcom has revealed that the recently announced Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney is, at least for the moment, exclusive to Japan. If the outpouring of enthusiasm for the crossover on Capcom’s community site is any guide, they’d be mad not to localise it.

ITEM! Former Ubisoft Creative Director Patrice Désilets is to establish a studio for THQ. Based in Montreal, the new venture will focus on developing original IP. Désilets is known for his work on Assassin’s Creed and, to a much lesser extent, Donald Duck: Goin’ Quackers.

ITEM! In what some are certain to interpret as a precursor to the apocalypse, legendary Doom developer John Romero has released a Facebook game. Ravenwood Fair challenges players establish a thriving carnival in a spooky neck of the woods.

ITEM! The Australian release of promising Wii platformer Kirby’s Epic Yarn has been delayed. As reported by IGN, the multi-talented pink… err… thing will now arrive on our shores in 2011.

ITEM! No More Heroes developer Grasshopper Manufacture has bolstered its ranks. As reported by 1UP, the studio has appointed Harvest Moon producer Yasuhiro Wada as Chief Operating Officer and Little King’s Story producer Yoshiro Kimura as Chief Creative Officer.
