Atlus and Kylotonn Entertainment have unveiled The Cursed Crusade, a violent third person action game set in medieval Europe. You’ll play as Denz, a man haunted by the bloody horrors of the fourth Crusade. To make matters worse, you’ve been afflicted with (cue dramatic music) The Templar’s Curse, a malady that threatens to condemn you to the fires of hell. Until then, however, the curse will actually boost your strength and enhance your powers of perception. God works in mysterious ways.
If it all sounds a little daunting, you’ll be pleased to hear that The Cursed Crusade will support both online and couch co-op. The second player will take on the roll of your similarly cursed brother, Esteban. This mode has been dubbed Brotherhood of Steel. I guess someone at Kylotonn is a big Fallout fan.
The Cursed Crusade is coming to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in 2011, though there has been no word as yet on an Australian release.
