I’ve always believed that when companies change their name, they’re after a fresh start. Take the home entertainment brand LG. Most associate LG with the slogan “life’s good”. Then there are those, like myself, who will always remember them by their previous name Goldstar, producer of your cheap and nasty video players.
When Artificial Mind and Movement announced that they would henceforth be known as Behaviour Interactive, I naturally thought they were wanted to leave the demons of the past, such as the almost unplayable third person action game WET and a myriad of licensed titles, behind them. Nope, Behaviour Interactive has confirmed that WET 2 is already in pipeline.
Admitting that they have been a “work-for-hire” games studio, albeit a “premier” one, Behaviour Interactive now wants to focus on producing original IP. Naturally, we at The Black Panel applaud such efforts. We can only hope that confirmed titles WET 2, Naughty Bear 2 and Doritos Crash Course (what the?) are aberrations and not a sign of things to come.
