LA Noire looks the business, which means business is finally looking good for Team Bondi, the swanky studio founded by former Getaway bigwig Brendan McNamara. Game savvy tough guys have been forced to sit on their hands as multiple delays pushed the snappy detective thriller into 2011.

Until now, we’ve only seen pre-rendered footage. However, the latest trailer features a whole mess of highly expressive cops, crims, dames and pushovers, all brought to life using the in-game engine. It’s already clear that Team Bondi’s long awaited debut will test the limits of motion capture and facial acting almost as much as it has tested our patience.

The recently released Mafia II has me itching to return to the hardboiled beat. I can’t wait to paste a perp in the puss. You can’t afford to do things by the book, not if you want to hear the truth, damn it, the TRUTH!

LA Noire is due for release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in autumn 2011.
