NanoBITES captures those small but important morsels of gaming information that otherwise might slip between the cracks.

ITEM! Platinum Games has commenced work on an online action title according to the latest issue of Famitsu (via Andriasang). In development for 360 and PS3, Max Anarchy will feature at least one playable character from the studio’s 2009 Wii exclusive MadWorld.

ITEM! Dead Space: Extraction protagonists Weller and Lexine are set to return in Severed, the first wave of DLC for Dead Space 2. The two new single player chapters will be coming to 360 and PS3. Alas, there has been no word as yet on the PC version.

ITEM! Paradox Entertainment’s ever expanding Majesty setting is about to welcome a tower defence game into the fold. As reported by Joystiq, the fantasy themed Defenders of Ardania will be released on PC and iPad in winter.

ITEM! Disney Interactive has terminated roughly 30% of its workforce, according to a report on CNBC. As is customary in the corporate world, the Split/Second developer described the bloodletting as a “restructuring”.

ITEM! Team Ninja’s shamelessly exploitative 3DS fighter Dead or Alive: Dimensions will feature a (non-playable) cameo by Metroid’s Samus Aran. Team Ninja have recent experience with the Nintendo icon, having delivered Metroid: Other M just last year.
