Twisted Pixel has announced The Gunstringer, a western themed shooter designed exclusively for the Kinect.

Games development is a cutthroat business, so it pays to remain one step ahead of the competition. While others attempt to cash in on the faltering zombie phenomenon, the Texan studio has moved on to what is certain to be the next big thing, marionette simulation. Actually, by casting a dead man in the lead role, Twisted Pixel is probably having a bet each way.

As the bizarre announcement trailer demonstrates, the game will feature a blend of platforming and gunplay in both two and three dimensions. Our recently exhumed hero is on a quest for vengeance and as his virtual puppeteer, it will be up to you to ensure that he gets it. Did we mention that the game features levitating Tacos? Well, it does.

A release date is yet to be announced for this unusual Xbox 360 title.
