NanoBITES captures those small but important morsels of gaming information that otherwise might slip between the cracks.

ITEM! Namco Bandai’s Inversion has been delayed. Originally intended to ship in 2010, the gravity defying shooter from TimeShift developer Saber Interactive is now due for release on 360 and PS3 in February 2012.

ITEM! An attempt to revive a long dormant series has ended in failure, with Activision today announcing the cancellation of True Crime: Hong Kong. The open world action epic was in development at United Front Games, best known for its work on ModNation Racers.

ITEM! Gas Powered Games has halted development on Kings and Castles. Studio founder Chris Taylor told The Big Download that work on the fantasy RTS had been suspended due to a “timing” issue. At this stage, no one involved in the production has uttered the word “cancelled”.

ITEM! Seattle start-up Undead Labs is collaborating with Microsoft on an XBLA exclusive. In keeping with the studio’s branding, the game will feature an outbreak of zombies.

ITEM! Namco Bandai has staked an early claim for clumsiest title of 2011 with Ridge Racer Unbounded for 360, PS3 and PC. With Ridge Racer 3D almost certain to launch alongside Nintendo’s latest handheld, it’s a nice time to be a fan of this long running franchise.
