Violent and dangerous

Publisher Bethesda Softworks has issued a new trailer for its forthcoming fantasy action game Hunted: The Demon’s Forge. It showcases the cooperative aspects of the combat, along with the scale and ferocity of the creatures we’re likely to encounter. The trailer also explores the rediscovery of a long lost skull. In addition to being responsible for the tide of evil sweeping the land, the skull is a great conversation starter at dinner parties.

We’re also offered the first hint of comedic dialogue between sword for hire Caddoc and expert archer Elara. While Hunted appears to be predominately sombre in tone, it’s nice to see that inXile Entertainment isn’t taking things too seriously.

Finally, in a clumsy but remarkably honest appeal to our baser instincts, the trailer includes a promise of “violent and dangerous adventure”.

Hunted: The Demon’s Forge is due to arrive on 360, PS3 and PC in June.
