While previous installments took place in the 1800s, Call of Juarez: The Cartel transfers the action to the modern era. TUESDAY l NEWS l Hunted: The Demon’s Forge > Publisher Bethesda Softworks has issued a new trailer for its forthcoming fantasy action game Hunted: The Demon’s Forge. It showcases the cooperative aspects of the combat, along with the scale and ferocity of the creatures we’re likely to encounter. The trailer also explores the rediscovery of a long lost skull. In addition to being responsible for the tide of evil sweeping the land, the skull is a great conversation starter at dinner parties. READ MORE
WEDNESDAY l NEWS l Homefront > While many regard China as the most realistic threat to the US sovereignty, first person shooter Homefront depicts a future in which a unified Korea achieves the unthinkable. As the latest trailer for the game demonstrates, the good people of America are forced to endure two years of brutal occupation before you and a rag-tag band of patriots decide enough is enough. If the plot puts you in mind of a bad 80s action flick, you’ll be unsurprised to hear that it emerged from the mind of Red Dawn writer/director John Milius. READ MORE
THURSDAY l NEWS l nanoBITES 29 > A successful Hollywood composer is lending his talents to a series already known for its beautiful ambient soundtrack. As reported by Joystiq, BioWare’s highly anticipated sci-fi epic Mass Effect 3 will feature contributions from Clint Mansell, of Black Swan fame. FRIDAY l NEWS l PlayStation Move Heroes > A new trailer has been issued for PlayStation Move Heroes, the new multiplayer action platformer from Nihilistic Software. The game features an all star cast of Sony exclusive mascots, including Jak , Daxter, Ratchet, Clank, Sly and… some other guy (Bentley, apparently).
