NanoBITES captures those small but important morsels of gaming information that otherwise might slip between the cracks.
ITEM! The much maligned PSPgo has reached the end of its short life. As reported by Kotaku, Sony has ceased production of the download only device, which didn’t come close to matching the success of its predecessor, the PSP 3000, which will continue to be manufactured.
ITEM! One of the year’s most anticipated games may well have slipped to 2012. Sony has confirmed that Team ICO’s achingly beautiful The Last Guardian will miss its holiday 2011 release date. Just to rub salt into the wounds, the HD collection of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus has also been delayed. Revised dates are yet to be announced.
ITEM! SEGA are aiming to capture Sonic fans old and new with Sonic Generations. This blend of 2D and 3D platforming will feature two versions of Sonic, the much loved original and his streamlined modern counterpart. Look for it to arrive on 360 and PS3 towards the end the year.
ITEM! Have you ever dreamed of being a super hero? Do you long for another game that leverages both the Kinect and Xbox 360 Avatars? If you answered yes to these questions, you’ll want to keep an eye out for PowerUp Heroes from Ubisoft. This family focused title is due later this year.
ITEM! Though it has been available in one form or another since 2009, indie sensation Minecraft now has an official release date. The finished product (notwithstanding the inevitable updates) will launch on Friday 11 November 2011.

Since when were there “new” sonic fans?
The games keep selling so they must be out there somewhere!
I think that the new games are just bought by old sonic fans in denial.
Ha! It can be difficult to let go of something you love.
