TUESDAY 2 REVIEW F.E.A.R. 3 > Although lacking the chills and scares of the first two instalments in the series, this is a solid FPS with great mechanics, a beautifully designed universe and a more than competent online component. The addition of co-op and the ability to play as two different characters is another plus, but when it comes down to it, what is a F.E.A.R game without the fear? READ MORE
TUESDAY 3 NEW TRAILER Bastion > Bastion has been receiving a lot of attention lately, and we’re now one step closer to being able to experience it for ourselves. Supergiant Games has issued a launch trailer for the action RPG, where we’ll be assuming the role of Kid. Tasked with rebuilding a devastated world, we’ll be taking down monsters of the “Calamity”, as the game’s narrator commentates the story. READ MORE
WEDNESDAY NEW TRAILER Binary Domain > Toshihiro Nagoshi, producer of classic SEGA games such as Shenmue and the Yakuza series (and some not-so-classic games *cough* Sonic Unleashed *cough*) is bringing a new cover based third person shooter to a console near you. Titled Binary Domain, the game looks to be an interesting blend of Vanquish, Gears of War and the Terminator movies. READ MORE
THURSDAY 1 NEW TRAILER BattleBlock Theater > Since The Behemoth unveiled the initial release trailer for latest project BattleBlock Theater, a stream of videos showcasing the playable cast has steadily emerged. If the introductory text in this trailer is anything to go by, the character dubbed ‘Prisoner 10321’ features in this new game play video. READ MORE
THURSDAY 2 NEWS nanoBITES 49 > As long rumoured, the Xbox 360 exclusivity of Q Entertainment’s Child of Eden will soon be coming to an end. According to Kotaku, the abstract sci-fi shooter will be making its way to the PS3 in September. FRIDAY 1 JUST ANNOUNCED Lollipop Chainsaw > Prolific developer Grasshopper Manufacture has announced yet another project. In an interview with Japanese magazine Famitsu (via 1UP) Managing Director Suda51 has unveiled Lollipop Chainsaw. Much like predecessors No More Heroes and Shadows of the Damned, the new game looks likely to test the boundaries of good taste. READ MORE
FRIDAY 2 NEWS Australia Edges Towards R18+ > Australia has taken a further step towards the introduction of an R18+ rating for video games. The Attorneys General met in Adelaide earlier today, along with Federal Home Affairs Minister Brendan O’Connor. As reported by The Age, all of the Attorneys General bar NSW representative Greg Smith, who abstained from the vote, agreed in principle to this long awaited reform. READ MORE
