Australian indie studio Brawsome has issued a teaser trailer for its forthcoming werewolf themed comedy adventure MacGuffin’s Curse. As the eponymous lycanthrope, you’ll scour the rather spooky looking town of Feyre, with your ultimate aim being to locate a cure for your unfortunate condition.
In gameplay terms you’ll spend your time sneaking around, talking to locals and (above all) solving puzzles. Where some games in the adventure genre have proven to be deliberately obscure, MacGuffin’s Curse will feature what Brawsome has described as a “cohesive, fully integrated hint and task tracking system”.
The retro inspired visuals appear to be somewhat rudimentary. Then again, Brawsome’s award winning Jolly Rover was known more for its witty script and elegant puzzles than its rather straightforward art design. The two games actually have something rather odd in common. Both feature canine protagonists.
MacGuffin’s Curse is scheduled for release on PC, Mac and iOS in Q1 2012.
