MONDAY NEWS Namco Bandai working on Smash Bros. > Nintendo is loosening its grip on one of its most celebrated franchises. The publisher has revealed that the next instalment in its madcap Super Smash Bros. fighting series will be created in conjunction with Namco Bandai. According to the platform holder, long time director Masahiro Sakurai will return to collaborate with a Namco Bandai team boasting veterans of the popular SoulCalibur and Tekken fighting series. TUESDAY NEWS Saints Row expansion dead, sort of > THQ has cancelled Saints Row the Third: Enter the Dominatrix. The recently announced project was being positioned as a disc based “standalone expansion” to last year’s outrageous open world crime game Saints Row the Third. Believe it or not (and if you’re familiar with the preceding game, you’ll probably believe anything) Enter the Dominatrix would have taken place in a virtual reality prison devised by an alien overlord. FRIDAY JUST ANNOUNCED Warframe > Canadian developer Digital Extremes has finally offered gamers a sneak peak at Warframe, its free-to-play third person shooter for the PC. As reported by IGN, the game is a fast paced fusion of sci-fi and fantasy in which players are equipped with customisable exoskeletons.
