Warface confirmed for Australia

Australians have had multiple opportunities to enjoy the action packed work of developer Crytek. We began by rampaging across a tropical isle in 2004’s Far Cry, before tackling a full scale alien invasion in 2007’s Crysis (and its sequels). One game we haven’t had the chance to experience, though, is Warface, the company’s online free-to-play military shooter. Fortunately, this oversight is about to be rectified.

Having already released the game to Russian audiences, Crytek has confirmed that it is bringing the game to the English speaking world. Not unlike its predecessor, Warface is a first person shooter set in the near future. This time around, though, the focus is firmly on cooperative and adversarial multiplayer. The question is: what will it have to offer that Call of Duty and other leading titles in the genre don’t already provide?

A release date for this PC exclusive is yet to be announced by Crytek or co-publisher Trion Worlds.
