In what can only be described as a serious blow to law and order, AFA Interactive has revealed that it is bringing Omerta: City of Gangsters to Australia.
Set in prohibition era Atlantic City, this promising strategy outing will challenge players to build a lucrative criminal empire by constructing “speakeasies, distilleries, illegal boxing rings and much more”. While the simulation aspect of the game takes place in real time, it switches to a turn based format when it’s time to trade hot lead with rival legitimate businesspeople.
Omerta is in development at Haemimont Games, the Bulgarian Studio responsible for the last two Tropico titles. Look for it to land on 360 and PC on Thursday 14th February 2013. If you’re still on the fence about it, take a look at the trailer, which helpfully provides about two and half hours of company logos before squeezing in a few seconds about the game itself.
